Aida Markiw - Painting

I grew up in a war torn country where I studied computer science because it was a new exciting field and was related to mathematics which I loved. I have worked for over twenty years as a software developer, and lately as a project manager. My love of art and my need to express certain feelings and to create beautiful things pushed me into painting. I am fascinated by living beings, human and animal, and want to capture the beauty and emotions we share. I am currently working with Oils, Watercolors, Soft Pastels, and Oil Pastels. Pet and People portraits are based on color photographs which get returned to you with your finished oil painting or Oil Pastel, or can be done from life with a 1 to 3 hour sitting.
